The Law of Responsibility
By Archbishop Jordan
Hello, how are you? I am currently studying about the power of words and its outcome on how we live our lives and the results we are able to produce. Let me start with this activity.
Share with me your Top 10 things you are committed to:
- I commit to …
- I commit to…
- I commit to…
- I commit to…
- I commit to…
- I commit to…
- I commit to…
- I commit to…
- I commit to…
- I commit to…
It’s powerful to write it all down and to create these commitments into existence. For example, “I commit to eating healthy.”
People have a love-hate relationship with responsibility. Either they overuse their freedom or they take too much on.
According to John Hanley, there are three pillars of relationship. The first pillar of relationship is a responsible, authentic and committed self. The quality and durability of any relationship rests on three pillars. These pillars are applicable to any type of relationship. The first must be solid in order to be a foundation for the remaining two. We should have a clear idea of what our stand in life is. Our stand in life determines our commitments and in turn, shapes our relationships with others. How responsible we are will greatly affect our relationships, our choices, our circumstances, and our futures.
