Being Poor is a Sin
Being poor is a sin. To live beneath my privilege is sinful, which means I am full of sin. This is not criticism. I am just trying to get you to become aware. Sin simply means that you missed to the mark.
To miss the mark means that you failed to reach the expected goal. You may have hit a goal, but not the one that was expected of you. God wants you to be profitable in everything that you do. And when that does not happen, you have failed to reach His mark for your life. You have deviated from God’s purpose for your life. If you disagree that living in poverty is a sin, then you are believing God does not want you to experience His provision, His love, and His care.
The Israelites, who had manna were complaining, not because they were poor. They were complaining because they were discontented. They were provided for. When you have what you need, you are not poor.
That is what this is all about, helping you to begin hitting the mark all the time.
