Bring Something New Into Existence
To some people, innovation is often equated as change. But this point of view is just half the equation. Change happens all the time, whether we recognize it or not. A random event may be regarded as original and striking but it may not be considered as an innovation. However, what a person sees as a novel occurrence may lead to an innovation.
That is, to say, this occurrence may spark ideas for its observer that may lead to an innovation. But say for example, John had a striking idea in mind yet he did not do anything about it only to realize later that another person, Mike made an innovation out of the exact idea John imagined. You see, John is a dreamer; his idea remained just a dream because he did not put his idea to work. But Mike is a leader/innovator. He had the same idea in mind and he acted on it. He made that dream come to life; he brought the idea into physical existence. Innovation means to intentionally bring into existence something new that can be sustained and repeated which is of some value and utility. Innovation include things or actions that are often related to a practical “in the world” value, like making a new product, or bringing forth something new that will enable humans to accomplish something that hasn’t been done before.
