Leadership takes place when a person at any level of an organization takes the decision that what is happening is the group’s responsibility—that whatever happens is in their own hands. It means that there is no need to wait for someone to start creating the future they intend. Because of this stand, people become empowered, even amidst the current culture, to choose to create the future of their choosing, and immediately act on the process of learning that has to be learned in order to create that future.

Empowerment is what enables people to learn what really matters most in life through what each one can do. Empowerment is not something that can be passed on to others because individuals have different aspirations and therefore what one deems as most important in his life may not always be the same as another person’s.

Empowerment is a refinement in the way we view our lives. Because of empowerment, we can become a creator from once being a reactor. If we used to be a victim of your situation, one who is just pushed and pulled by other external forces, empowerment can make you the author of the future that you aspire for, and in your hand lies the choice to move towards it.
