The person who refuses financial mentorship does not qualify for success. You cannot sit under a poor mentor and expect him or her to adequately teach you about prosperity. Neither can you go to a brother in law, or a cousin that is bankrupt, for financial advice. If your father or mother has massive credit card bills and uncontrolled debts, they cannot help you find your way out of your financial crisis.

How can you really expect someone renting an apartment to give you quality advice on how to buy a home? Are you getting the picture? You must have a financial mentor! I will not let just anyone speak into my financial future. That area is far too sacred for me to play around with. I want to know what their life contains, because I want to know what they are mentoring me into.

Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

Based on this wisdom, if a person refuses instruction from a financial mentor, they will come to poverty and shame. This concept is so simple. Many good, Bible-toting Christians, are in trouble today, because they refused a financial mentor. If you talk to every individual that came into wealth in life, they will tell you someone who was in their life, either directly or indirectly, who mentored them financially. The mentoring may have been through reading their biography, or autobiography. Somehow they heard the instructions of a financial mentor, followed their instructions and became rich.

We live in a get rich quick age. This age can be defined as people wanting something for nothing. It can also be defined as an age where people want to receive reward without work. That is one of the main reasons why some are disqualified for financial harvest because they refuse to work. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. The Bible is very clear.

Are you working? “No, I can’t get a job.” Then you have no business eating. I’m sorry I can’t help you. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you. This was a commandment. It was a commandment that if any would not work neither should he eat. That is why I go to work everyday I like eating every day. If you want to eat every day, you have to work every day. Even when I am not going to work, I am yet going to work, in a metaphysical sense. You work your mind, not your behind. Inevitably you are going to work one end or the other. The choice is yours.
