The law of feeling is changeless. Feeling always gets the blessing. That’s why you must make sure your prayer modifies your feelings. Praying through is what the old saints would call the act of making your feelings catch up to the prayer. When your prayer and feelings are an exact match, you have your breakthrough. Until you can get the prayer connected with the feeling, it is unlawful for the object of your desire to be in your experience.

The feeling has to clothe your prayer. It has to fit. It has to match. It’s like a marriage. Until the prayer and the feeling come into a union of thought, it’s unlawful for you to partake of the blessing.

Are you feeling depressed? Are you feeling fearful? Are you feeling worried? Shift your emotions according to the Bible. Let your prayers shape your feelings into emotions that glorify God and emotions that create for you prosperity in every aspect of your life. 

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. (Philippians 4:6-7 The Message)

When you pray, your emotions become that of God’s wholeness, God’s goodness, and God’s peace. Jesus becomes the center of your emotions. You begin to experience trust, love, and mercy. When you are able to finally access these emotions, your circumstances will follow.

The prayer is a way to get you to focus, to give the feeling an opportunity to catch up. Prayer is focused attention on a particular topic. Your attention is there, your mind is there, your thought, your consciousness, and everything else is there. If you focus on it and then get a lock on it, the feelings will begin to catch up to what you’re praying for.

When you connect feelings and prayer, you’re communing with God. You bring your consciousness with your feelings in becoming one with God.

Prayer is a powerful spiritual discipline that was given to us to communicate to God. It’s a direct access to the Father. Jesus taught us how to pray because litanies or repeated words do nothing for our emotions. These senseless prayers do not build our faith.

Jesus corrected our perspective of prayer. Through prayer, our focus is shifted from the problems that we face to the plans and purposes of God. It shifts our attention from the limited circumstances to the unlimited nature of God. 

How come meditating on the Word of God can make you successful?
