I and my Father are one (John 10:30). 

God is not going to work with you unless you work with Him. You have to define exactly

what you want, and then you must declare it positively. The presence and the power of God within you can do nothing until and unless you define exactly where you want to go in life. You have to see it and then feel it inside you, as if it’s already yours. It has to be real enough to be able to express itself. If it doesn’t exist within you in a true way, there is no way it can manifest in the physical world. It will lack the substance and concreteness it needs. When you realize what lies within and access it with the faith that it is who you are, the outward expression of your thoughts will be the materialization of what’s inside you. The presence and power of God in you can do nothing until you define exactly where you want to go in life.  Jesus teaches us to choose. He says in John 15:16, Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 

We want freedom, but at the end of the day, humans are afraid to choose. Most of the time, we pray, “Lord, your will be done”, not because we are obedient, but because we just want God to make the choice for us on how our life will play out. We are afraid to make choices because choices reveal their deepest nature. We don’t want to end up being wrong. God already chose us. We didn’t choose Him. However, we have the choice as to the kind of life we want to live. The same went for Eve, for the Israelites, and for everyone we read about in the Bible. They all had a choice. The human being’s power to choose sets us apart from all of God’s creation.

If you feel you don’t need to do anything, you do. You have to choose. You have to declare your choice. You need to say, “Lord, I choose life. I choose the abundant life you are offering!” At the heart of it all, we can never be wrong with this choice.
