The end of times means the north wind is coming. This wind is going to bring forth a new breed of man of God. In each age and generation, God demonstrates the strength of each wind. The north wind blows forth to raise up men and women of God who will bring forth the presence of God.

There were a few north wind prophets in the Bible. The third is actually Elijah, but this was in his last days of ministry because he was initially and dominantly an east wind prophet. Samuel and Moses were north wind prophets. In the book of 1 Samuel, you begin to see the north wind. Every time, when a north wind prophet comes to the scene, it means that there is a transition period that represents something completely new. The north wind makes all things new. It is not just a different wave; it’s a complete transition.

When Elijah came, it was still the kings’ period. When the North wind prophet shows up, you know that there is going to be a closing of one chapter and an opening of a new chapter. When Moses came to the scene, it was time for a new chapter for the When Moses died, the Israelites had to talk to God in a different way through the tabernacle. The tabernacle was in a different outer form in Solomon’s temple. It was still basically the same pattern. But it was now made from gold and silver instead of animal hair. Nevertheless, the same ark was used.

When Samuel came to the scene, it tells you that the nation of Israel would change. God allowed for a new phase of a kingship. When the east wind prophet shows up, you know that it is just preparation. However, when the north wind prophet shows up, then we know in our days, the chapter of the Gentile age is going to close.

Through the north wind prophet, God fought with thunder and lightning. These prophets didn’t even need to wield a sword. Samuel just gave God an offering, and the presence of God was enough to destroy the enemy. He was a prophet of thunder. If Elijah was a prophet of fire, Samuel was a prophet of thunder.
