The word “reveals” means to uncover, to open, to lay bare, to strip away, to disclose, or to unveil. This word refers to what God is doing with His prophets, when He reveals his secret plans to then.

As a result of greater revelation, the prophet finds himself in a great level of spiritual warfare and struggle. Amos declared, “Surely the Lord does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets (Am. 3:7).

Once you access revelation, you are put on stage and people begin to watch you as spectators. They would bring reproaches and condemn you, because you speak the truth. This truth threatens them. Tribulations can also come because you are building more of God’s Kingdom and destroying more of Satan’s—you’re bound to ruffle some feathers. The enemy would do everything to suppress the revelations you receive. However, when there is no revelation, people are cast off restraint (Prov. 29:18).
