The Harvest
Your harvest comes through people, not from people. Some of you have been disappointed because you were looking for your harvest to come from someone, instead of through someone. You harvest will always come through someone, but never from someone. The person never becomes the source of your harvest. God is always the Lord of the Harvest working through someone.
If you get upset when you ask someone to do something for you and they do not fulfill it or do it, that only meant that you were looking for it to come from them and not through them. If you ask someone for something and they do not give it to you, and you got mad, that is the signal that there is an idol in your life. An idol means you are looking for your harvest and supply to come from someone that only God could provide. Therefore, I
have learned not to be disappointed in people. If disappointment happens in me, over someone, then that means that person was an idol, because I was looking to him or her to do something that only God could do.I understand the harvest can come through people. However, if they cease to be a channel of flow, then God removes them, because the harvest only comes through them, and not from them. If it comes through them, the only way it will not come through them is because they are resistors.
If they put up resistors within themselves, then it brings about their own defeat. What you respect will come toward you. What you do not respect pulls you away.
