The highest level of prophecy that humanity will ever experience or see is actually available to most of us in the United States—the prophecy of God’s Word—the Bible. The Scripture is inerrant and worthy of our undivided attention and devotion. The Scripture cannot fail, because it is untainted by human error. In fact, theBible is surer than you seeing a vision of Jesus or receiving a prophetic word. In order to test every prophetic word, you must put the Word of God first, in place in your daily life, and make it the final authority over your attitudes and activities.

So we have the prophetic message more fully

confirmed. You will do well to be attentive to

this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until

the day dawns and the morning star rises in your

hearts. First of all you must understand this, that

no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own

interpretation, because no prophecy ever came by

human will, but men and women moved by the

Holy Spirit spoke from God. (2 Peter 1:19-21).

The Bible is the only infallible prophet in the Word of God. Everything that is in it is complete. In the Book of Revelation, the apostle John had a vision of a scroll written both on the front and back side, which represents the completeness of the Bible, and how no one is allowed to remove or add to it (Rev. 5:1).

Every other level of prophecy is only true to a portion. Prophets, even those in the office of the prophet, only receive partial revelation from God. All other levels of prophecy are judged by the Bible. However, the Bible itself is judged by none.

The Bible is the absolute truth.

Do you know anyone who is moving in any prophetic operation or giving any prophetic word? The best way to judge if what he is saying is a true prophecy, as opposed to a false prophecy, is that it agrees with the Bible. The moment a prophetic word disagrees with the Bible, then the word is either from the human mind or from a demon spirit, but never from God.

God will never contradict Himself. God doesn’t say one thing in the Bible and speak to us with a different message through a modern prophetic voice. God would not change His mind 2000 years later.

God is not a human being, that he should lie, or

a mortal, that he should change his mind. Has he

promised, and will he not do it? Has he spoken,

and will he not fulfill it? (Numbers 23:19)
