Why is it that Guyana, a country that is rich with gold, diamonds, and other precious minerals is an impoverished nation? It is not what their land lacks, it is what the people do not know. It is about Someone they do not have a personal relationship with.

We live in an age of technology. New York City is one of the leading cities of the world. You can go down to the flower district and open up a flower business; you can go down to the garment district buy some ties and open up a neckwear business. Every major record label has an office in New York. The top five book publishers in the world, with an annual estimated gross income of more than 50 billion dollars, all have their international headquarters right here in the big apple. Wall Street is the chief financial center of the United States of America. Madison Avenue represents the advertisement epicenter of the world’s marketing dollars. With all that wealth, why isn’t every New Yorker rich?

Why isn’t every American citizen rich? Despite how much riches and opportunity is all around you, you haven’t yet mixed your mind with your soil. Forgive me if it appears that I am casting a reflection on you alone. I too am guilty of not maximizing my opportunity and taking advantage of every prospect given to me.  Although God has blessed me immensely, I should still be much further than where I am right now. Before Bill Gates reached 40 he was a billionaire. Why not me? Why not you?

I am not envious of his success at all. I am very happy for his example to us all in how he cultivated the soil of his mind to create enormous wealth.

He mixed his mind with equipment.  What are you mixing your mindwith? Whatever you mix your mind with will produce a child after its own kind. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
