WITHDRAW FROM THE RAT RACE

Withdraw from the rat race when you are able. Once you know your position in Christ and how much God values you, you should delight in walking according to God’s word. One instruction that Scripture gives us is that we should not conform to the patterns of the world but be transformed by the renewal of our minds (Rom. 12:2). When we allow for God’s transforming power to renew our minds, we can then know the good and acceptable will of God. One primary reason why most people seem to be chasing shadows in life is that they still do not know the will of God for their lives.

Are you continually renewing your mind with God’s Word? Are your philosophies in conformity with the Scripture?

Your Solution Lies Within You

Paul said that even in lack, and abundance, he has learned that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him (Phil. 4:13). Never underestimate the great potential that God has placed within you. Whether in seasons of plenty or lack, when rich or when poor, know that through Christ, you can overcome every season. Through Christ, we can bring solutions to a struggling world. For those who cannot seem to shake off the chains of living in debt and surviving by each paycheck, God can do more than provide—he can sustain you through every tough season.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the concept and essence of vocation. You will help me get a better fulfilling and more rewarding job. My work will give glory to your holy name, and I will live up to my potential.
