You are Called to Bear Fruit
God did not make man to be alone. God created a lot of people. It says a lot
on how we should treasure not only ourselves – but as we treasure ourselves, we shift towards touching the lives of others. In the creation, we can see that God has blessed man this way: “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground” (Genesis 1:28). We are called to be fruitful.
To be fruitful means to be flourishing in whatever or wherever we were put in.
Many people nowadays feel worthless because they fail to see not only the gifting
they have inside but also the truth that they were made to be fruitful. Being fruitful
does not only benefit the fruit itself but it serves its purpose – to nourish the body of
the one eating it, to enrich the land and to give life.
Vision exists in your heart, in your soul and in my soul, and if you and I are
not in touch with it this very moment, it is because we have got it covered up (Vision,
Commitment and Responsibility NA). Everyone has a vision inside of them. These
visions that we all have are the things that drive us to transform.
The discipline of transformation is about learning to shape our world in a way
that supports and complements our commitments and vision (Possibilities: the future
of humanity NA). Transformation was never attained alone. There would always be
others that will contribute to the grasping of the vision we are all trying to attain. As it
is said in the bible, two are better than one, because they have a good return for
their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But, pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie together, they will keep warm. But
how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend
themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
