Self-Sustaining

A stream for each season of life can provide financial protection. The concept of farmology is that you must always be self-sustaining. Your farm is rich enough to keep you nourished through all types of situations. Having different streams of income is one way of securing your flow of income. It ensures that even if there is trouble in one of your income sources, you have other sources to rely on as a backup. 

Remember that farmology is about being prepared for whatever challenges lay ahead of you. As mentioned in the earlier post, you cannot predict what seasons will come your way, but you can train yourself to be highly adaptive. Find ways on how your income sources can be more flexible and accommodating as well. 

Nourish your income stream to adapt to all types of changes. For example, as a business owner, once you have mastered selling a particular product, branch out, expand, and continue thinking of new services you can offer. Times change quickly, and you need to think about the future to stay on top financially.
