HOLY VESSELS OF GOD
HOLY VESSELS OF GOD
Speaking to the priests, Ezra declared them to be holy. Priests are considered to be holy, chosen servants of the Lord. They were to see whom they are to serve in the Body of Christ as holy as well.
Ezra understood that the silver and gold were freewill offerings. By the grace of God, we have been given gifts by which we serve the Lord. Whatever we have and whoever we are, we have received it from our Lord. We believe that all things belong to Him. The Bible also teaches us:
17 Every good and perfect gift is from God. This kind of gift comes down from the Father who created the heavenly lights. These lights create shadows that move. But the Father does not change like these shadows. 18 God chose to give us new birth through the message of truth. He wanted us to be the first harvest of his new creation. (James 1:17-18)
As stewards of God, we are called to be faithful with what we have.
Whether we are in full time ministry or not, we are called to be good stewards of all the gifts that make us, by the Holy Spirit, holy vessels to give God glory. As stewards of God, we are called to be faithful with what we have (1 Cor. 4:2). As stewards, we must ask the true Owner of everything what we must do with the portion entrusted to us. For sure, not everything we receive belongs to us. As believers, He would use us to take part and to provide for His work here on earth.
As Holy Vessels of God, are we consistently emptying ourselves so that we can be filled anew, or are we withholding everything God gives us? When we hoard these material treasures, we are blocking the possible provision of the Lord. If you are a hoarder of blessings, then there will simply be no room for God to fill you with a fresh portion of blessings.
