HOW FAR, HOW WIDE?

How far and how wide is your love for us, Lord?

How far and how wide is the love of God for us? If we consider material wealth the core concept of “riches,” we limit ourselves. We have limited our perspective to something fleeting. To have a stronger grasp of the riches of Christ, we have first to realize our poverty before we have a personal encounter with Jesus. We used to be dead to our sins.

God’s Justice

A single sin can separate us from God. God is a Holy God, and one sin deserves eternal punishment. God sent Jesus because He knew He was faithful to His nature of holiness and fairness. He sent Jesus because of His loving heart. Jesus was willing to die for the world’s sins. God did not spare His own Son but gave him up for all of us. Why would God withhold anything from us if He sacrificed the most significant Being in His life because He loves us (Rom. 8:32)?

Why hoard something unlimited?

You have access to the universe’s most potent Being through Jesus Christ. You are a child of God. Because of the God of the universe’s love for you, you are now referred to as a child of God (1 Jn. 3:1). We have become God’s offspring. It has not yet been revealed what we will be. However, the Bible says we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is (1 Jn. 3:2).

We will be like God in plenty, glory, and power. If Satan is teaching you falsehoods about lack, shame, and hopelessness, you must remind yourself of who you are in Jesus Christ.

When Paul recognized Christ’s riches, he had no intention of retaining them. He observed that there was more than enough for all of God’s children. He noticed that there was so much that he might be generous with it.
