PRAYING SCRIPTURES AS PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

Praying scriptures is a powerful method of prayer. The Bible is a prophetic work. It is the highest form of prophecy. It speaks of the Father’s intention and purpose for our lives. Turn the Bible into a spoken profession of faith by doing the following:

1. Choose a Bible verse that has spoken to you.
2. Personalize it by changing the wording to the first person. Retain the other wording precisely or apply it to your own situation.
3. Use present tense.
4. Memorize the Bible verse. Write it out. Declare it out loud.

Prophetic declarations based on the Bible are powerful, especially in times of spiritual warfare, or when breakthroughs are needed.

Example: The Prayer of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:10)

“Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my

territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me

from harm so that I will be free from pain.”
