Money habits can either be good or bad. Dealing with any money script requires understanding the people around us. The best gift we could give to ourselves is seeking a trusted money advisor to help us walk this journey of improving our money scripts. It is human to make financial mistakes, and the best way to get back up involves seeking help. Other times, prevention is better than cure. Mark Twain, a renowned novelist, earned a huge fortune from his writings and lectures. However, he lost most of his wealth by investing in ventures that did not work out. Eventually, he filed for bankruptcy. With the help of a financial advisor, Henry Huttleston, Twain got back on his feet and paid all his creditors. He did not need to repay them as filing for bankruptcy had relieved him of that burden.

The feeling of love and gratitude from your loved ones will always trump the feeling of safety from having money in the bank. In early Mediterranean cultures, the chief goal of a person was to maintain personal honor and reputation. Therefore, the wealthy achieved this mainly through family and social relations and interactions rather than skill or wealth. Your reputation towards family members and loved ones will not be because you saved a lot of money, but because you took the time to build relationships with them.
