The New King James Version emphasizes Isaac’s prosperity: “The man began to prosper and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.” When the Bible repeats a word, it signifies the author’s intent to emphasize its significance. Albeit, the emphasis is on the prosperity Isaac experienced—the manifestation of God’s glory. As Isaac’s wealth grew, those who labored alongside him also experienced increased blessings. The overflow of God’s glory knows no bounds. The people around us can partake in the abundance of His blessings.
