The self-improvement process is a journey that requires self-awareness and self-assessment. During a period of self-improvement, knowing where we stand matters. Never underestimate the value of people around you or even those who seem beneath you. Be like King Solomon, who valued wisdom and was a trained listener. His listening allowed him to make sound decisions that earned him great fame, such that other kings and queens sought to listen to him.
As we journey to improve our money scripts, it is essential to identify what people or situations play a part in our growth. Through them, we understand our money scripts better. Here are some of the ways to determine the conversation.
Reflection
Without self-awareness, self-improvement is impossible. Do you often take time to reflect on your life?

What efforts are you continually putting in place to improve yourself?

How well do you receive criticism or observation from your spouse or child?
Take action: ask your spouse or child about ways you can improve. Make this a regular practice. Also, give your input on how they can improve as well. This practice is how to grow as a family.

Relationships are essential for success. Do you have a healthy relationship with your family, friends, and acquaintances?
How can you further solidify your relationships?

Mentorship can be beneficial or antithetic to success, depending on who the mentor is. Closely examine your mentors and see if their inputs are helping you grow.

If you don’t have a mentor, what is your reason? If you would choose a mentor today, what would be your criteria?

Analyze the reasons behind the last three times you gave. What’s the motive behind the giving? Do this for your borrowing, spending, and other areas of your life.

Self-deception is harmful but hard to spot. Carefully examine yourself to see there are no areas you’ve been living in deception.
