WHERE DOES MATERIAL WEALTH FIT INTO GOD’S PURPOSES?
God Does Not Need You, But Chose to Include You
God did not need the collaboration of humans to carry out His works on earth. On the other hand, He desires to bless us. The God of the Universe longs to have a personal relationship with us. God also wants us to trust Him voluntarily. He gave us free will so that we might choose Him freely.
Nothing good happens in our lives until we pray. Nothing good happens until people obey God and do what He tells them to do. The main question here is not whether God can or will provide for you and His purposes to be fulfilled here on earth. That is already assumed.
Can God Trust You?
“Can God trust you with money?” is the main question. God cannot entrust worldly wealth to many people in the world. Many individuals, whether Christians or not, affluent or poor, rely on their wealth rather than God’s capacity to provide for them and the mission they must do for Him in the future. We are warned not to trust money, but most of the world’s population does.
“Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, not to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy,” the Apostle Paul advised Timothy (1 Tim. 6:17). However, how many people get a hold of some amount of money and assume, “If I hold on to this money for the future, I will be secure. This money will secure my family and me in the future. “I am confident that this money will not fail me as long as I keep it”?
