THE LAW OF HARVEST

It would help if you considered the seasons.

The Law of Harvest, sowing and reaping, is understood by farmers. The farmer or sower considers the seasons before he plants. He knows that not every season is a time to sow. He knows that not every day is the season to plant. The farmer knows the right and the wrong time. Won’t he be aware of the right conditions, the right weather, and the right season of the year?  The farmer takes time in everything. He has the patience to wait and know that there is a time for everything. The farmer gains his wisdom from hard work and experience. You gain insight from your intimate relationship with God and learn from others who have gone ahead of you.

A wise farmer knows that there is a time to reap. He considers the season of sowing and the season for growth and reaping. He knows that there is time that he will reap what he has sown. Think of your words before you say them. Think of your actions before you do them. Do not let your emotions control you. When it comes to your time, effort, money, or God’s word, don’t just sow for the sake of sowing. Although noble, don’t just give for the sake of giving. It is good to be generous but learn to pray and seek God to use your best and even your resources. Be wise and ask for guidance. 

You need to prepare the soil.

The farmer considers the soil before he plants. He needs to prepare it by tilling, weeding, and nourishing it. The seed will not grow if the soil is not conducive to growth. The farmer can also determine what seeds he can produce by knowing what ground he has. Before you invest in anything, choose the background and spend time learning the nature of what you will do. Educate yourself regarding the investment and the details surrounding it. Seek wisdom from the Lord. Before you give of yourself, determine whom you will sow.

All the time and effort you are going to invest are things you can never take back. Often, however, you need to prepare your soil. Get to know them, spend time with them, and love them. These are already acts of sowing. However, there are times that no matter how hard you try to prepare the soil, they are still not ready for planting. This is the kind of dirt you pray for and entrust to God. 

It would be best if you planted the seed

When the time is right, and the soil is ready, you need to do the actual planting. You cannot harvest anything if you do not plant anything on it. It would be best if you took time and effort to do it, it will never be easy, but it will be worth it in the end. It takes time, hard work, and dedication to prepare everything before and during planting.

Depending on the seed, there are different ways to plant. It takes a great desire to see the seeds grow and bear fruit to pursue planting. It takes a great deal of foresight and faith to produce something now with no concrete assurance of success in the future. Each time you plant a seed, pray. Have an expectant heart. Pray that the seed will grow and bear fruit. Claim the harvest. Pray that God prepares you for the harvest, that you would know what to do with it.
